Have you heard of the term “sabbatical?” It means a rest from work… a break often lasting one month to a year. Many university professors take a sabbatical. Catholic priests do, too. And, this year, the folks who run Big Rock Resort are taking one. It’s important for people to take a break from what they do everyday– a chance to get away from routine, see some new places, meet new people, and experience what’s been called a “time of refreshing.”
For this winter, for the first time in 15 years, Big Rock Resort will be closed. That’s right– we won’t be hosting any guests this winter, as we’ll be taking time off from running our resort. We are essentially taking a vacation from running our vacation resort.
Big Rock Resort will be closed from November 1, 2018 through April 1, 2019. If you are wanting to make a reservation for next year, for some time after April 1, you can email us or leave us a message, and we’ll gladly get back to you with a reply.
Big Rock Resort offers seasonal packages to June Lake guests who love coming here for easy and affordable vacations. Indeed, we are ideally situated near mountains, trees, water and lovely wildflowers, making Big Rock a great vacation destination. Our area is a paradise, and many come to it in order to escape big city life where there’s too much noise. Our area offers people a retreat-like center away from the hustle-and-bustle of city/suburban life.
With well-equipped cabins, many families feel like they’re at a “home away from home” while at Big Rock Resort.
In 2019, why not organize a trip to stay at Big Rock Resort? For those who like to fish, we’ve got a fishermen’s special. Why not take advantage of our discounted rate to fish June Lake next April using our 14’ fishing boat? That way you don’t have to bring your own boat– you can use ours.
